![]() I mostly bass fish (LM) and have always used mono. I mostly use rubber worms. I was thinking of trying power pro this year, but never really see/hear of people using it for fresh water. Any input?

![]() when im bass fishing, i always have a rod set up with braid its a must when your fishing around weeds to cut them, i use 50 lb because it cuts the best.
its pretty common for people to use braid, i always hear of bassmasters using it.

![]() It's good for bass fishing in none finesse situations..when tossing plastics or cranks/spinner baits it's fine...I would avoid it in super clear situations...

![]() I use it alone for cast and reel baits. For slower presentations I use a 4' to 6' leader of flouro when tossing soft plastics and pitching jigs.

![]() As others have said it won't help in very clear water but in murky waters I started using it last year on one of my baitcasters and I'm very happy with it. I generally use it for heavier stuff like tubes, spinnerbaits, and lipless crankbaits and it works well with 36" of fluro leader (I generally use 8 LBS but will use 20 LBS for tubes to prevent pickerel shredding it).
I put some braid on the spare spool for one of my spinning-reels for this season and am interested how that works out as I've never tried it before.

![]() I have been using 8# PP on my ultra-lite trout rod for the past four years. I fish mostly spinners and have used 2# mono in the past. PP has saved me numerous spinners that I put in a tree on the other side of the creek, but that is the only thing good about it.
I miss many more fish, haven't been able to slow my reactions to how fast PP reacts. I can't cast as far, even though 8# PP is the same diameter as 1/2# mono. Knots are much more complicated and still don't hold. I re-spooled with mono for opening day.

Also does braid twist up like monowhen fished with spinners with no barrel swivel?
