Hey everyone, I live in Cedar Grove and have been reading up on the Passaic River fishing the past couple of days. I finally joined the site and can't wait to hopefully fish with a few of you on here.

I fish mostly by kayak, and have been dying to take it out on the river but don't know of any good spots...after reading all these posts i see EVERYWHERE is a good spot haha

Thumbs up Re: New Member

Welcome to the site. Seems like good spots from Berkley Heights all the way down, just gotta get out more and explore.

I've got the Millstone by me.

Pretty much the only thing that makes a "bad" spot is too much current and, depending on ur gear and methods, snags. Which u usually won't know are there until u find em. Yesterday alone I lost about 6 steel liters and 1 spoon. It can be very aggravating.

On the bright side, since the water is to polluted to eat the fish, eveything is catch & release. Makes for some big fish.........

LOL, good spots go bad when someone lets their dog go swimming where the fish are! Being on the water at the crack of dawn will give you a good spot for an hour or two no matter where you go.

Welcome to the site, lots of good info to be had here.
