Default Fishable Freshwater around Manalapan?

I just moved to Manalapan and i want to get into freshwater fishing. Are there any lakes or rivers near me that i can fish, and if so what species?

Any response is appreciated, Spyke.

Your best bets are just south of you: Manasquan Reservoir and Turkey Swamp.

You also have Molders Farm (7 ponds where u pay to fish) in Englishtown (right next to the Raceway) and the Englishtown pond which is stocked with trout. Those are basically in Manalapan.

Hey Jason - - welcome to the 'hood

You and your Dad would enjoy Molder's (especially the 20 pound Channel Cats), but I've got a private pond nearby that'll knock your sox off !! Water is too cold now for the bass & crappies but I will invite you guys next spring.

We'll need to set it up with Wilson too, becuz I promised him a trip there and never delivered But now that you guys are nearby, it'll be a done deal !!
