Teak Wood Supplier?
Wondering if anyone has a local supplier of raw Teak wood. I've got a few hatch covers and pieces of trim that will need to be replaced over the winter.
Thanks in advance! Fin~S

Re: Teak Wood Supplier?
Bob, Check at West Marine in Sayreville. There used to be some stuck in the back corner, by the clearence stuff. If the manager there, Bill, may know where you can get some.

US Mohogany
Lloyd Road in Aberdeen. Ya know where Samahas is? Its just before that on the left when your coming down Lloyd off of 35. They have every wood you can imagine and what they dont have they can get pretty quick. My neighbor uses them often for plugs he builds.

Re: Teak Wood Supplier?
US Mahogany will have it..... Bob Barret (The blackfin in our marina "Bodacious") owns the place. They should have it... or you can get it from Monteath Lumber on Bordentown Ave in Sayerville. If those two places don't have it, give me a call and I can get it from my flooring guy.

Re: Teak Wood Supplier?
NICE!
Thanks Ted and Duff! I'm going to give them a call and stop there on the way home too. Wound up putting a fence and gate up yesterday and forgot how fun working to an 1/8" is. Nice break from .0002" over 24". Again....what this site is all about! Fin~S

Re: Teak Wood Supplier?
Thanks for a few more leads guys.
I framed out the anchor locker with some mahogany and it turned out sweet, but the same wood planed down from 1" (.820") to 5/8" for my transom boxes warped out almost an inch. I've since soaked them and have a couple hundred pounds on 'em...but I may have to go back to the drawing board and try again.
