Default Baby Carp Or Goldfish?

Caught these in a small pond near Kenilworth today. The second one that Lindsay caught had a fancy tail. The are NOT wild shiners. I thought the first one was a tiny carp until Lindsay caught the second one. Any guesses?

Look like baby carp to me. You should save em and liveline them in the passaic. The pike will jump all over them buddy!!! Right in the fish tank they go and then right in the pikes mouth.... YEA BUDDY!!!

Actually it's the other way around. Salt line goes down river after a lot of rain. During a drought, it goes up. Ive caught crabs WAY up the Maurice River when there was a summer drought.

I just meant that they were going to get washed out to the ocean

I have caught them as well here in NJ.

I dont think they are are Carp, but some sort of batifish. I have caught them fly fishing in lakes and on small lures in Assunpink. Have not identified them but they are interesting. Looked through McClane's trying to find what they are.

Eddie ....That's a fine idea. I'll tie me up some quick-strike rigs and float them fatties in the Passaic. Wouldn't mind saving a few for the ICE and drowning them in some musky haunts too.

Joe......dead on. I was tryng to find a carp spot someone told me about, but I think I should have been fishing the river over there instead of that puddle. It was loaded with sunfish and whatever these things are. Don't know if there's any big carp in that little puddle, but it was cool to pull something up that I couldn't figure out what it was. Any feedback on where the carp are over there would be greatly appreciated.
