Default Seely Pond

My boss got fired at work, so i went in to have a send off lunch with her. Hit up Seely Pond. Looks fishy, but not much shoreline access. Casted a bunch of lures but nothing doing. However, there are some HUGE fish in this pond. Saw several long fish cruising in the middle of the lake. Too long and slender to be a bass or carp. Thinking a chain pickeral, but BIG. Didnt spend too much time there so there could be much better fishing. Going to scope it out again. Anyone else have any luck there?

Most likely carp or cats cruisin its a pretty muddy lake, suprise lake is in that area and it holds better quality fish.

They are not the big pickerel that you might think. There are big grass carp in there and some bass (but not too many). It's put and take trout fishing in the spring. Bowfishing might not be the thing to do. It is probably prohibited because it might be considered "discharging a firearm". Check first, but I'm sure "the man" will say "no". What does roam that lake are snapping turtles. I've caught way too many while fishing for grass carp there. Hook and line snapping turtle fishing is like tying into a sewer plate and trying to pull it in. If they get themselves down in the mud, it's all over. Surprise Lake has more options but the lily pads are starting to make a comeback after they were removed during the restoration.
