Default Fishing in a Hurricane

I didn't want to wait and hope that the storm would pass by Sunday evening, so I went out Sunday MORNING at 12 AM before things got REALLY hairy. As a disclaimer, this was really STUPID and really dangerous, but at least I'll live to fish another day.

Day 107....and counting.

LOL, less than ideal conditions. What were you casting out?

I remember going out in Mach in some serious wind and on my ultralite casting a 1/16 oz jig and about 50 feet of line would come off the reel but the lure would go 10 feet out but 40 feet to the right of me.

I was casting an F3, Hot Mustard, original floating Rapala. I didn't get any bites, but at one point I snagged a log an it started peeling out drag. I thought I had a fish.
