"If the snakehead has a tag inserted in its back, you may also call (800) 448-8322 and report the tag number to receive a special edition hat and a certificate from the U.S Fish and Wildlife Service."

Are you kidding me...they want to get rid of them but are tagging and releasing??? WTF

Probably just trying to figure out their movement patterns, etc, so they don't waste resources when they do go out to kill them.
