Thumbs up Good trout 5/12/11:

Hit the High Bridge area this morning, C&R about 20, nothing huge, kept 6 for da smoker. Highlight was hooking into around a 14" brown and watched it shoot into the air 3 times in like 2 seconds before it spit the hook.
Ran into 2 other guys wading in sneakers and shorts.
Went for some deeper water around noon since the sun was blazing, hit Duke Island Park falls and glad I did. I got about 6 or 7 brook trout there, one of the old timers said he was there yesterday and helped put 8 net loads of trout at the falls, there are PLENTY of fish there. Did C&R at the falls since I had my limit in the car.
Ran down to Roberts St. for a quick one, nothing.
Funny fishing during the week, the people that I meet, most YOU HAVE TO TALK REAL LOUD, and I get to hear all the bi-pass and open heart surgery stories, great people, love to talk.
Found this bat, if Duffmans little slugger wants it, he can have it.

My wife looked at it closer when I got home, ooops, softball, sorry.
Hey, you WERE the first in line. My 2 boys played ball, I remember buying 2 bats, 1 @ $110.00 and the other @ $150.00

Sounds like a nice day of fishing. Nice looking trout. Good color. What was the bait or lure of choice?

Who says you need to hear to catch fish? I bet those old guys caught too. Every time I go to that falls there are men fishing for trout like catfisherman do. They have 1oz weights on, worms for bait. They cast their lines out and put them in Y sticks. Then wait all day for a bite. Drives me crazy!!!!!! Who the hell taught them that method. Real old school.

Question Re: Good trout 5/12/11:

Who says ANY method is the RIGHT method ? If they want to fish with surf rods and 16 oz. weights with a worm so be it. Did you ever see the size of the carp up at the falls, allota 20 lb. + fish.
