so i am thinking of getting a flyrod for mainly trout. i will be a very beginner. never even tried one lol. i was thinking of getting one of those beginner kits. i dont want to spend much money since im in school. i know this can get expensive so i just want something to learn on and use for the stockings. any ideas on a kit?

You'll either love or hate the fly fishing thing! Bottom made you an incredibly generous offer. My only suggestion would be to read a little and practice casting before you get out there.
I only started fly fishing 2 years ago and haven't touched any of my other rods since!
Good luck!

chris,

try to convince bottombouncer to give you 15 minutes of casting lessons.

it will save you MUCH frustration and will get you started the right way.

basic casting is not all that hard but is MUCH easier if someone just shows you for a bit.
