![]() I fished the secret tog canal on Saturday outgoing. Fishing was a bit better than last week. I had 10 with 3 being keeper-sized females that were released. I caught mine on worms but saw a few caught on crabs and clams. Fished with YouTube wunderkind Kepti fishing for a while. Switched him to worms and a bit longer leader and he got 3 shorts right before he left.

![]() I believe the camera was off, but I didn't really ask. I looked like hell as I came from the gym so hopefully not.

![]() Sandworms have been a great Tog bait for decades that many fishermen overlook.. I can't even imagine what they cost these days.. The problem is bergals like them too...

![]() Barely any bergalls left in that canal. Later in the year, pin sea bass will destroy any soft bait.

![]() Years ago, when I lived in NJ, I used to fish the canal all the time.. Never caught many bergalls there, but it was always infested with tog.. I wonder why?... maybe too much current there for the smaller bergalls?

![]() I did get quite a few bergalls years ago. The tog were mostly smaller then too. Average now is pushing 13 inches. It is about the only place that the regulations have improved the fishing.

![]() Yes, great shot of my bald spot and I sound like I am in the canal.
