PROWLER5 - JAN. 27TH - BLACKFISH REPORT

[Prowler 5]

We made it out today with a pretty decent crowd for this time of the year. We couldn't get them going where we caught fish on our last couple of trips. So we moved out to a little deeper in 112 feet of water and we have a slow pick on some keepers with some shorts. We are up to 6 keeper tog, with some shorts, about a half dozen short cod released. There is a slight heave out here. Maybe that is affecting the fishing today. There are 4 other party boats fishing with us today and that's the consensus after talking with those captains as well. But, it is a pretty nice day out on the ocean though. It is going to blow hard tomorrow, Sunday. So, our next two trips will be Friday, Feb.2nd. The blackfish limit will still be the same. Plus, we should start seeing more cod fish showing up. That's the Noon report, I'll post pics later this afternoon.
