PROWLER5 - WED., APRIL 5TH - STRIPED BASS REPORT
We left the dock in dense fog. We looked around a little bit and found the fish in the second inning. They started biting like we had yesterday. We boated five nice keepers and then we started releasing some keepers and shorts thinking we would get more of that great action we had yesterday. We thought we were going to get our 15 man boat limit today. We broke off a couple and the bite only lasted about 20 minutes. But I was happy to get that 20 minutes before it shut down. We landed a handful of keepers and the bite shut completely down. Then the strong east wind came earlier than predicted at 25 to 30 and most of the few boats that were out went in early. We hit the dock around 12:45 today. The guys still had a great time on the water today and were troopers. Mike Hulmes of Hawthorne was today's pool winner. We made our 12th striper trip of the season today. Now making it out every day, don't miss out. We'll be fishing the whole month of April. You know all the action is casting - lures and shads. It's been a lot of fun lately with the striped bass. We look forward to having you on the boat. NOT fishing Thursday April 6th.
