Whites and yellows
Went ultralight jigging in a 44 degrees NJ lake this evening on a cloudy, cold day with no wind. Air temp was 42 degrees. Didn’t wear gloves. Caught and released 28 white perch, 17 yellow perch to 10” and a black crappie with Walmart red worm halves on two gold hooks and a 1/16 oz leadhead jig on 4 lb test line. Landed 2 doubles including a mixed double. Caught 249 fish in 6 NJ freshwater fishing trips this year in the same spot. A retired guy who fishes in the lake nearly every afternoon caught a lot of fish with 1/64 oz jigs on 1 lb test fluorocarbon line and 1/32 oz jigs on 2 lb test. He caught a released a 5 lb bass on his ultralight fishing 🎣 outfit. 8 other fishermen caught lots of fish. Intruders didn’t take over my spot yet. I am very fortunate.
