I dont have a "favorite" - generally, I use different colors based on conditions.

Extremely anecdotal, but over the past 2 years, anything patterned or stands out (ie chartreuse) tends to outperform plain silver.

Silver/blueback, chartreuse, white…. In that order. Each day the color preference is different for me.

Bright sunny days I tend to go with silver, silver/blue, gold or ones with a prism in them.

Overcast/cloudy days I tend to go more with the chartreuse or white flutter spoons.

I wonder. The answers as I have experienced too. But anyone ever see or try a two color spoon?

Like chrome one side and chartreuse the other? I guess it would be like a strobe effect? Maybe not

Short answer is yes and it produced well.

I think the key overall is experimentation. Many people obv can't afford to drop $500 on every color imaginable but using even just 2-3 different ones can help you notice a pattern.

Patterns are the key to catching, regardless of the situation. A great charter captain outside of NJ once told me that when he can't find a pattern in his log book that aligns to a condition, he will give everyone the same lure in different colors to see who starts catching first. It's also helped save trips where his initial instincts or game plan didn't yield results.
