Default 5/29 Obsession Bottom Fishing

Took a decent steam east with brother Joe, Sven and Rich and had some solid bottom fishing. Limited out on Seabass and along the way we had 7 Ling and 6 or 7 Cod with 3 making the keeper mark. Mostly Clamming on a high low rig although Rich had some Seabass on the jig and one short Cod. Made a few drops for Fluke on the way back in without a touch.

Nice day on the water with surface temps in the high 60s and surprisingly few boats out there. I did however hear from others the bottom grounds to our South were very crowded.

Side note: Don't bring the Cod fillets home before checking for worms or your wife is "never going to eat fish again"

Great work Gerry. You mind sharing approximate depths?

I also was out on Sunday in the same general area as you with similar results including few boats. It's a huge area to fish. No Cod though. I normally take a ride to the south to the grounds you are talking about but with the price of fuel I am not going to take that run when the fishing closer to home is pretty good! it's just like striper fishing in the bay 100 boats all stacked up in one area when there are bass everywhere! Tight Lines.
