Default Beware On The Water Scam

If you subscribe to On The Water Watch out for them. They bill your CC without permission and then no one answers the phone complain. Not a bad mag, just a bunch of unethical managers working there

I remember checking a box to auto renew, they sent an email a few days ago stating they were going to renew. Today they sent an email informing me it was done.

I just got the same auto renew email today that they charged my cc $25. I thought to myself, I didn’t authorize that and then I thought again and figured maybe when I signed up I authorized an auto renew. Then I thought further and realized I really like the magazine so I was glad it auto renewed as that is one less item I have to deal with.

I enjoy "ON THE WATER" and clicked Auto-Renew too. No issues.

Last year I contacted the Staff via email to ask why they didn't include many reports from Western Long Island/NY Harbor. I receieved a reply the following day and the OTW Staff said they were going to include more reports from this area in the future.

They did and I thanked them. .

I subscribe to On The Water but don’t provide my CC info. Instead, I usually renew every year at the fishing shows and pay with a personal check. My subscription ends every March so timing is perfect. I’ll renew it this weekend at the Edison show.

Last year, I called their office and asked to switch over to the New England edition since I already subscribe to the NY/NJ Fishermen magazine. Office staff was very helpful.

I have been a long time subscriber without any problems with auto renewal very convenient. My only complaint is when trying to view older issues you only access it to your subscription area .The fisherman magazine which I also subscribe to allows access to all three locations online. Very nice if you travel to different areas to see previous reports the articles are usually the same regardless of magazine location

Funny, I received my April issue last week. It was upside down! The cover looked normal, but the body was completely backwards. Oops!!!

I did too.

I thought it might be an April Fool's Day joke.
