PROWLER5 - TUES., 12/28 - BLACKFISH REPORT

Hey gang, we had a nice big crowd of blackfish customers today (for a Tues.) We had pretty good conditions. It was a little bit windy this morning, but the ocean was nice. We started out picking at short blackfish, then we started getting the keepers coming in double digits. But things changed when we had a medical emergency happen on the boat with one of our customers and we had to pull our anchors and start heading back. Although the Coast Guard Zodiac boat met us very quickly out on the fishing grounds and we were able to transfer him onto the Coast Guard vessel. Hats off to the four Coast Guard men. They were very professional and did an awesome. We've been back out on the fishing grounds (where we started) but we just can't seem to get the fish going now. It's just a slow pick. Didn't have time for pics today. We are fishing with green crabs and white leggers today and we'll be fishing all week - Thurs., Fri., Sat. and Sun. We look forward to seeing you at the dock. We have a heated cabin and heated handrails for your comfort. We Finished the day with 22 keepers and Al won the pool and had his limit and glad to report Jerry is in stable condition in the hospital. A big thanks to our RN on board who jumped into action and what a great job my crew did handling the situation, pretty scary stuff. Hats off to Marko and Zavier.
