GOLDEN EAGLE - STRIPERS - STRIPERS - STRIPERS
We had to go further out for them, we had to work hard for them and we put in overtime for them but WE CAUGHT STRIPERS TODAY! We hooked them up on the live bunker and they were almost too big to fit in the net. They were BIG STRIPERS! Because of the new rules, we had to throw the big ones back. Just about everybody on the boat had at least one fish on and some people had more than that. We lost a lot of them because people are not used to using the circle hooks. With the circle hooks, you do not have to set the hook because the hook will set itself. All you have to do is lock the reel and start cranking. So we had quite a few fish on and lost quite a few. BUT THE FISH ARE THERE! There were a lot of STRIPERS where we were so it should be really good fishing in the upcoming weeks. Come on down and let’s go STRIPER fishing.
