Hey gang, we had a decent crowd of fares today for our first trip after taking a couple of weeks off. I kind of knew how it was going to be searching for the sea bass today after talking with one of the Belmar Captains on the phone last night. We went to where we had the great fishing in the spring time, out in the deep water. There were some big sea bass there, just not enough of them to stay there. We boated a couple of flounder and Charlene won the pool with a codfish. Then we went to a different location where there was a ton of sea bass, but the problem was that 80% of them had to go back. Small to medium. We did boat some big porgies today. The ocean was beautiful today, but I wish we could have seen some more keeper sea bass. We landed 25 keepers today. Our next trip will be this Thursday, Oct. 14th.
