Hey…. I’ve spent many a august day down in obx. Lots of charters to grab down there. OBX marina and Oregon Inlet ALWAYS have open boat charters. Nearshore, inshore and offshore. STOLAT is my personal favorite out of obx marina.

Sound fishing is rough. Hit structure. Manns Harbor Bridge for speckled trout, croaker, sheepshead, etc. The closer you get to the ocean the better. Shrimp os king down there if your using bait in the sound and around the bridges. If you fish New Nags Head bridge, bring an assortment of bait, shrimp, squid gulp etc. There are residential stripers around. If you’re adventurous, head out the inlet and hit cans on the way out. There might be a cobia or two hanging around.

TWs has a bunch of great tackle and bait. A little expensive but they are stocked.

I fished the Country Girl out of Manteo. We went offshore, not to far for tile fish, we had a great day with my buddy and me filling both our stringers, capt and mate said we have to keep fishing to fill other people's stringers. Good day, good boat only cost about 100$. Good luck!

If you are looking for a charter boat check Pirates Cove Marina. Obsession is a favorite of mine. Tons of choices there. Mixed charters if needed. Check it out.

Blue Water Grill at PC Marina is a wonderful place to dine at. Also, a great local place is Tortuga Bar. Collington Inn for a fantastic culinary experience. Have a wonderful time.

The StoLat will customize a trip for you. A little of this, a little of that. They will fish the towers, then head offshore for some big game or hit the tile spots.

If you want cobia check out Rock Solid out of Oregon Inlet Fishing Center. He gets you into some Mahi too from time to time.We also did pretty well on the Hoo-Dini out of Pirates Cove for tuna. For food and drinks I've always liked Chili Peppers in Kill Devil Hills.
