Happy Father's Day weekend to everyone!
Today was one of the tougher days so far this season. Unfortunately due to the wind we had the last few days the porgies did not want to cooperate. It was a slow pick from the start that turned into a slower pick. We made a move outside of NY waters and tried to make the trip fishing for sea bass but unfortunately the ratio of shorts to keepers was not in our favor. Some did go home with a few sea bass and some even had their limit but it was an overall tough grind for us and the rest of the fleet. But that's why it's called fishing and not catching. The fishing should be getting back to normal as the winds let go and the bottom isn't so churned up. We are heading back out tomorrow morning at 6am for more porgies at Montauk.
We also have a new night bass trip heading out on Tuesday night. Space is limited, so grab your spot soon before it's sold you! See you at the dock. (860) 448-3662
