Default Labor Day Slaying and a DD Monger Style

Well it just doesn’t get any better than today on Fish Monger with Capt Jerry. Broke the inlet at sun up. Straight to the grounds. Slick as ice out there with a strange drift .i Was lucky guy right off the bat had my limit in about 30 minutes. Throwing back shorter keeper so I could try to get a big gun. We all worked very hard today and were rewarded with an early boat limit. Throwing back the smaller keepers hoping we’d recoup with larger ones. That certainly paid big dividends as we boated several fish over 7#s . We had a few drifts that were totally lights out fishing. What an awesome day. We had a few open spots left to fill the box because we kept throwing back keepers so we could all get a shot at the ONE . Well right about 1 Pm I got my chance. I was pretty scoped Out when I got one Big Bang and my ball jig stopped dead. I leaned in and swung for the hills. Those of you that fish with know I’m a big swinger. Rod doubled over and it was game. I didn’t dare say a word except when Capt Jerry asked me if it was a good one. I reply best fish of the day for me and continued to concentrate on trying to get the fish to the boat. Well finally she cane up from the deep and Capt Jerry scooper her right up. We the dust settled she tipped 2 different Bogas at 12# even. I also had a banner day with 14 keepers ORL. Everyone had a great day and plenty of action. Thank you Capt Jerry Posterino and Mate Frank for always delivering 5 star service and effort. Click image for larger version
