Default Super Seabassing 5-23

Had Manny Paul and Haydar meet up at 6:00AM, after adding a few gallons of fuel we were pointed the bow east and took a nice long steam. Stopped short of our original destination as I ran over a pile of fish stacked up 10-15 feet off the bottom. Had the crew tie on the jigs and we went to work. Almost 0 wind and not much current gave us fantastic conditions to make short drifts on top of the readings. After boxing 25 in about an hour, the tide changed and began SCREAMING. Our .2 drift speed went all the way to 1.6!!!! Moved on to piece number 2 and didnt read much on the machine. Decided to drop the anchors anyway and see if we could build some life, and build the life we did!! A steady pick turned into a hot and heavy bite with a great keeper / short ratio all on bait. On this drop we also had a few beautiful flounder to 20 inches join us. Beautiful day on the water and a full cooler.

Manny 46 fish 21 keepers ORL

Paul 32 fish 17 keepers ORL Flounder limit

Haydar Got seasick but still helped us fill the box when the bite got hot, 21 fish 15 keepers ORL

Me 44 fish 18 keepers ORL

Keeping 10 fish per man is fine with me, however it is absurd that the season is this short. Such a strong fishery. Less than a month left in the season!!

At least we'll get a shot at them earlier in October this year. That is, of course,
if the SB don't read the new regs and head offshore the day before opening
