![]() Raritan River S. B. not including the KLG- 40,740.
Not bad for a river that is mostly just Trout Maintenance/Seasonal Fishery. BTW, the main stem Raritan stocked section is only 4 miles, not a lot of water. In doing the math it works out to about 906 fish per mile for the KLG vs 845 fish per mile for the main stem. Considering the KLG sees many times the angling pressure which ultimately translates into more post hooking mortality despite being 'No-kill', and it is a far more popular stream section, and it has a far greater capability for holding over the fish, I don't see a problem with the allocation difference. All that aside, I am strongly in favor of seeing at least a portion of the upper main stem added to the fall stocking list. IMHO it's a river that has proven itself to be deserving of some fall stocking through many attributes. Hopefully we can push that proposal forward during the next year or so and make it a reality. |

![]() Im satisfied with the spring numbers the main stem has.
Talk about a fall stocking there, and the fall holdovers will compliment that number. how long is the stocked portion of the rahway? |
