Paramount Fri 14 HR
Went out on a pretty decent day with a fair sized crowd. On hand was 5 yo Justin G. on his first offshore trip and boy was he excited, creepily staring at his dad at 12:30 am until he woke up. We steamed out for quite a while and the first stop had a mix of good sized sea bass and ling with some pollack. Later stops were mostly ling with a few big sea bass mixed in. I wound up with a 12lb pollack, a 5lb pollack, 4 jumbo sea bass and 11 ling. The Schwartz took the pool with an 18lb pollack, 7 big sea bass and 14 ling. There was another 17lb pollack on board and a few smaller keeper pollack as well. Sea bass were either under 10" or over 16" today. Ling were all sizes from 4lbs plus to 1lbers. As a bonus, young Justin learned where dogfish babies come from and made lots of interesting rigs.
