Party Boat Angler First Day of Winter
We have been waiting for a nice day and were rewarded today. Inshore it was wind against the tide and I made up my mind to go offshore in search of some winter tog and not fight the anchoring problem. Well we found tons of big bass blasting through bunker on the way out. The problem is you can noy have any bass on board outside the three mile line even if caught inshore. I know we would have slammed them. Well off shoe we had a current up our stern and the lines went to the bow. Good for those up front but no good in the back. Proof is Paulie fishing the pulpit had 5 keepers and 12 shorts on the first drop.
When the tide changed I went in shore and we had good fishing with tons of shorts and nice keepers mixed in.
Tomorrows plan is to fish inshore as we will have tide and wind together. We leave early before the traffic and if the bass are up in the morning we will stop. We will be black fishing after we get our licks in.
Archie Stewart from Nutley had his second pool in a row on the Angler.
I only received one picture from Lou tonight and should get the others up tomorrow. The photo is Anna with her 3 keepers caught inshore.
7:00 AM first boat out and galley open.
Thanks Capt George
With the upcoming weather and holiday it nay be a while before we sail after tomorrow
