Default Mine Brook Stream restoration? North Branch Raritan River

Sometime last week or so, I visited the North Branch upstream by Far Hills and saw the water was very muddy/stained.
I brushed it off, thinking it was from the T-storms that night, but i didnt think it was that rough?

A few days ago i visited it again and saw the same.
So I then went upstream to see if it was as dirty. It was clear upstream.
I walked downstream and saw that Mine Brook, a tributary, was the culprit!
I saw upstream a boom/skimmer, and the checked above the bank and saw there was stream restoration along that part, around rt 202 and liberty corner road.

The river was pretty terrible in terms of sediment. The entire bottom caked with brown sediment, even the fresh North Branch water wasnt able to really clear it.

At least i fished the lower north branch this weekend and didnt see any clarity issues.

took some videos if necessary

Hopefully a good rain flushes it away, but unfortunately not much in the forecast

From what I understand the sediment only bothers fish eggs, why most of this work is done in the fall. Also unless it was a Class 1 trout stream nothing is really being bothered other than a few SMB.
