Trout Fishing This Weekend?
I am thinking about trying for some wild browns this weekend. There are a few smaller creeks and streams I like to go, but since everything is so low would it be worth it? The browns should be heading up river to spawn by now, but again, with everything being so low, is that holding them back? It's an hour-plus drive for me to get to any decent brown trout water, and I don't want to waste the time/gas if it's just not happening.
Any thoughts?

Re: Trout Fishing This Weekend?
About the only river that I know of that runs consistently is the SB because of all the water pumped from the reservoirs to feed the water needs downstream. Not sure if there are any wild browns in there though

I'd hold off. Main stem Raritan is getting some water every now and then.
I fished the Lehigh before and thought it was good but everything is so dried up right now. |
