Default Good trip to ri

fished a ns out of point judith sunday and monday.water is still a little warm and
there are way to many porgies and big sea bass around.we picked at the tog
all thru the trips but never had a real good bite get going.the tog we did get were all nice 4-9lbs.the jig out fished the rigs by far.on some spots we would only stay 15 minutes as the sea bass would grab the crab on the way down.the capt and crew did a great job and went into extra inning on both trips keeping us out an extra few hours each day.we never sat anywhere to long, capt made quite a few drops each day.capt runs a great trip and if anyone wants any info,pm me.

What a conundrum! Too many sea bass! They are everywhere up there. it's true. The limits are generous except for a short time during the summer when it drops to three per person. That possession limit is compensated by the average size of the keepers many of which push the 3-4 pound mark. Add the liberal season limits on fluke and the massive amounts of big porgies, R.I. has it going on! If you get tired of inshore bottom fishing, there are always the stripers that are around all summer. Beware though! The sea bass often eat the eels you might use for those stripers! Oh, did I mention cod?
