Default Stripers..uh no.

Fished yesterday out of Shark River. Started trolling on some marks off Asbury Park, no love. Went up to the rocks by the Red Church, bait, birds diving again nada. Trolled everything you can think of, white umbrellas, green umbrellas, big plugs, little plugs, spoons, not a touch. Tried jigging and bait, nope. Saw two short fish caught on a white umbrella rig and that was it. Stopped and anchored over the Dorothy wreck and caught some spectacular silver eels. What a fight they give you when they get that big. Talked to another crew at the ramp who fished south of the Manasquan and said they saw a couple of fish caught but it was all over by 07:30.
Boat ran great, back safe and the three of us that went had many laughs busting on each other. Try again in Raritan Bay on Tuesday.
