Tuesday June 30th Fluke report 11 POUNDER
After a long wait, our new ride has finally arrived. Left the dock today at 7:30 with my two buddies Tom and Christian (Shark) Orlando. First few drifts produced a few keepers and a lot of shorts. Made a move and i am glad i did. Set up on the drift and went to work. I got crushed and called for the net before i even set the hook. Took my time with this drag ripping monster until he finally gave up and slid into the net. Knew it was a slob but wasn't sure if it was going to break 10 pounds. Made a few more drifts and was able to pick a few more keepers. Decided to call it a day with the building seas and the urge to find out if i made doormat status. Took a ride over to the local tackle shop in Hazlet and put the fish on the scale. Held my breath until i saw the scale show 11 pounds. My biggest fluke to date and i couldn't be happier. The perfect way to break in the new ride. Ended the day with 8 keepers to 11 pounds. A day to remember.
