![]() Usually there's the hook number on the mold. If not go to do-it's site and it will have the hook number. The hook number will be a single brand and from there you can cross reference to a different manuf..

![]() I already have used the hook listed on the mold however what im trying to find is the number of the hook that regular spro jigs come with.I think they use a Gamagatsu or mustad black nickle finish hook. Thanks for the replys.

![]() Heat I don't become concerned to much with a ultra quality hook but certainly a sharp hook. I tend to loose the larger size jigs quicker then the hook would rust some days.
Now for me the smaller sizes that I'll use the the bay away from snags I'd lean towards quality. These last multible trips. |

![]() I believe you want mustard 32876bln. Offhand I think I use an 8\0 for those 2 sizes. Search this site, it's been brought up before and I'm not certain the number is right.

![]() And it's not a perect fit, you will have to press the mold closed hard to get the aluminum to change a bit. But it's well worth it.

![]() You can customize the 6's and 8's to take 6/0 hooks with a Dremel which fit closer to the jig. A 9/0 is ridiculous. I bought Eagleclaws on ebay for around $80 for 500. Just gotta' keep your eyes open.

![]() I make my own bucktails the same way and use the recommended mustad hooks. They have never rusted in me all season. I wanted the black ones like you but I realized it's not worth the trouble.
