Golden Eagle - Friday - Super Fishing
The ocean was beautiful today just about flat clam and the the fishing was SUPER.
The first hour and half it was as fast as you could get your jig in the water, and then it went to both bait & jigs. All the BIG BLUES you wanted in the 8 to 16lb range. The GOLDEN EAGLE sails everyday for BLUES & STRIPERS at 7:30am from Belmar Marina in Belmar, NJ. Albies were a no show. Well, maybe they were there but with the 25-30 wind howling all day (predicted lay down never happened) and the healthy chop you couldn't give it a good try. On the other hand, we had a very good day on the Golden Eagle with the blues once again.
