Shore bass fishin report

Headed down to the shore to meet my buddy at around 5 pm. Searched around for a little buit looking for some action with no luck. Finally hit one of our better spots and immediately saw bait jumping. Started to work the area with bombers and sp minnows. Immediately began to catch shad on our teasers. I switched over from an sp minnow to a white swim shad still only catching shad on the teaser untill finally I felt a nice hit at around 10 and had our first bass of the night at about 22 inches which was safely released as all the shad were as well. My buddy switched over to a swim shad after no luck on the bomber and caught one not much longer after. We caught a few more short bass which were all safely released. We packed it in at around 11:30. Overall a fun night with a fee bass and the shad kept you busy in the meantime.

Soaked bait at sandy hook with a small army of anglers from 4 am- 8

Didn't see any life other than sharks and skates

But it felt like fall....
