Default Jamaican Princess Weekend Wrap up, Fluke, Bonita and Albies

We set out on Sat with the Mike Widwiak party from Toms River, the original plan was to do some wreck fishing but after our 4th drop and only a handful of keeper seabass to show for our efforts we switched over to deep water fluking. Far from a slam, tons of throw backs, but we did put a couple nice keeper fluke in the boat up to 23”.

Sunday we had Dave Baucus and Boys on board, we had originally planned to go out the Blue Fin grounds but the forecast was a little too sporty, so the guys opted to stay inshore. We delayed our departure a couple hours to let the NE winds calm down. Ran out to the lumps just east of Squan and had all the Bonita and Albies you wanted. Great action on light gear, we even broke out an ultra-light fresh water spinning reel that was an absolute blast, it may now need some new drag washers after yesterday's workout.

Thanks Mark, honestly Sat was a little slow, not the seabass slam l hoped for but the solid flunking more then made up for it. Sunday however was an absolute blast, the Albies and Bonita on light gear is just fun! Plus I forgot to mention we battled a small brown shark for about 15 mins, which snapped the leader right next to the boat just as we were getting ready to cut it loose.
