More teeth from the river !

Like Skunk, I also waited out yesterday morning until the light rain passed and was rewarded with a few good ones. The first spot I tried had me going crazy with only a few landed and over 10 missed strikes. The few I landed were all in the 30" mark, but a couple nice smallies made for an OK couple of hours.

I still had an hour or so to hit another spot and hooked up with a fat 34" pike on my second cast. I made my way down river to a nice deep pool and landed a few more before hooking up with a monster ! This fish pulled me straight into an overhanging tree, and I had to do everything I could to get out of the tree with one hand on the paddle and still trying to hold the rod and fight the fish.

A couple pictures in the water came great but I was having some camera mount issues and I didn't get a good picture of the size of this fish. I put it against my 36" mark on the paddle, and it was over that mark by at least 6 inches.
