Lamiglas Fluke Rod

I remember seeing a post a while back about a Lamiglas rod that was a popular choice for fluking. Anyone have a model number?

Triflex 7020 bucktails up to 6 0z
triflex 7030 for heavier bucktails and weights

the inshore classic in MH and H were also a decent rod, but they are discontinued , but can still finds them around

Penn is coming out with a series of rods called Battalion . I have fished the 12/20 and the 15/30 , they are sweet bucktail rods. even had bass to thirty pounds on them .

and they are LIGHT

I know you asked about Lami, but my go to is actually a GLoomis PBR843C Pro-Blue. I own both the Lami Triflex 7020 and the GLoomis, both are great sticks.

As MrAc said, you're asking about Lamis which are great. I have 7020 and 7040. Take a look at the Trevala Model TVSC63MH if you're looking at off the shelf.

Thanks. I check out that same model Trevala and was close to purchasing when I remembered the discussion on the board about the Lami's.

The shorter rods are okay for the bay, but for the ocean I prefer longer 7ft rods. The Trevala Andy mentioned is def worth looking at too, its in their higher end of rods.

Thanks. I'm leaning towards the Lami 7040 but before I pull the trigger, will look into the GLoomis...

I have one of these and 2 of theGLoomis Salt Water Series SWS843C (which is an older version of the PBR843C) that I use for clamming/chunking bass as well as jigging for bass/blues-absolutely great sticks.

The 7040 I think is a little heavy for fluke even with 8-12oz sinkers. Its actually a perfect blackfish/seabass rod.

For blues/bass I use the tad heavier models GLoomis PBR844S and C.

Honestly if I had to buy them all over, I'd go see Kevin Bogan and have him make me a couple of sticks for about the same if not a little cheaper.
