4/13: Evening Run
Hit a local lake after droppin' the little lady off at work. Hit the water just about six and a few casts in, fish on! A short fight later and I was greeted by a nice 13" stockie! It took a black backed SR-5. So I keep throwin' and another few casts later another fish gives in. This time it's a 14" 1lb LMB. After that I changed things up for a while until I hooked up again while tossing a black and red spinnerbait, another bass again 14 inches but just over one and a quarter pounds. 'Bout thirty minutes later I switch to a new topwater plug. With the wind layin down and the bugs dancin' on the surface I thought, "why not?" Halfway through the first retrieve walkin' the dog and WHAM!! Again a bass, this one taped out at 15" and 1.75 lbs. Had a few more blowups after that but no hookups. Nothin' huge came out to play tonight, but for an hour and a half from the shore I was not complainin'!
