9/9 Great Day of Fishing on the Relentless Green Harbor, Ma

Made a run up to Green Harbor with my son Matt and friend Dave, to fish with Capt Dave on the Relentless in Green Harbor Mass. Have known Dave for quite awhile, a 29 year veteran of the USCG, Dave runs a quality operation. Boat is spotless, well maintained and comfortable. Dave and Curt are outstanding Captains, and Gillies runs as smooth an operation on the deck as I have ever seen.

Great weather and conditions met us at the dock, the other have of the charter Pat, Kate and Mike were eager and ready to go as we were. Made the run out to the grounds and first drop it was game on.

We were jigging for Cod and right away we had fish on, good quality Cod were coming over the rails, tide dropped out and so did the bite. The bite never really developed solid after the tide change but Dave consistently put us on the fish. Every drop we had Cod, Haddock and Cusk coming over the rails. Kate did a fantastic job for her first fishing trip, she battled the cod from 240 ft into the boat like a true pro.

This was a great day with fantastic people. Capt. Dave is very knowledgeable and deeply involved in the fight for our fisheries. Meet dome old friends at the dock when we got in which made it that much more special.

For those that have been up there and eaten at Haddad's Ocean front café, they have a new and bigger building at the same location, the Sea Food is still the same Top Quality. (the new bar is bigger than the old building) the have a bar, dining area and outside deck.

We have set our return trip in the spring and can't wait. If you want a Great trip on a safe, reliable boat, the Relentless is for you!
