Pompton 8/23

Just got off the water at the pompton which was my first time on this lake. Tough lake with all the weeds and managed one nice chunk around 3lbs on top. Fished live bait while I threw a ton of my arsenal but couldn't really stir up a lot of fish. Any advice with this lake no need for specific spots but I was somewhat surprised not even a sniff with the shiners.

Could be the funky weather?

I drove over the bridge tonight going from wayne into pompton lakes and holy smokes is that place choked w/weeds. Crazy. Nice fish it sounds like, though!

Bought my boat from my friend Pete 8 years ago. He lived on that lake for 20 years. Much better fishery in the fall and threw the ice. Alot of BASS tourneys there back in the day. Finesse is the key!!!
