Friday Night Slammer!!!!!

Did not have a chance till tonight to get out and fish since my better half fell off her bike tues night and broke her arm in two places and shattered her elbow. Spent the better part of three days at the hospital so been REALLY inching to get out on the water. Got home today and looked at the weather and decided to hit the Local Spot I fish and see how it goes. Well got there and the water was over the dock and my buddy's johnboat was on top of it as well. Water looked crystal clear and calm so off I went. Not sure what to throw and decided on a sunfish colored spinnerbait I got from Dick's. Since it was so calm figured willow blades might do the trick! Boy did I guess right, second cast I was in and it didn't stop till I left. fished from 7:30 till 11:00pm and ended up with 12 largemouth and 2 pickerel landed. Lost four or five other fish besides 3/4 bites that I flat out swung and missed on. Awesome night, made ALL THE RIGHT DECISIONS and it paid off big time tonight.......Here's a couple of pics to see the average size of the fish in the lake........Ps, the last pic was the first fish of the night before dark......

Nice catch! High water is one of my favorite conditions to fish.

Nice job....I tried to get out yesterday for about an hour or so but drove right into a patch of thunderstorms....by the time I got back home it was clear...so I poured myself a tall bourbon and ginger ale to wash away the sorrow. That worked rather nicely I must say!
