![]() VERY quick report here...
Capt Kenny and Jimmy ran an OB bottom trip today with a full 6 man crew consisting of 5 regulars and one newcomer. They started out where we were Saturday NE of our inlet, slow - continued to bounce around, and they encountered very slow fishing everywhere they dropped the hook. There was no lack of life on the machine as the seabass were read real well on the pieces, the fish just didn't have the feedbag on for us today. Making around 20 drops from the N all the way to the S end of our S reef fishing in depths from ~55'-75', they pieced it together catching some seabass, a handful of ling, blackfish to 4# (released) and one jumbo flounder which was also released. In 10 hours and 20 drops, they only put ~40 in the box give or take a handful. Fishing needless to say was VERY slow, and the remnants of that hard south wind a day or two ago are still having an affect on fishing. Hope to be back at it tomorrow! Better days are ahead! |

![]() They seemed to have lock jaw where we were at today too...great readings but catch was not as good. Not for lack of effort.
