Default Farrington on Fire

After making sure everything was good with the kids and MOM, I headed to Farrington. Started off fishing the pads and had one pickerel early and another bite off...DAMB those FW bluefish! Worked toward the back of the pond and was rewarded with two nice LMB (~1.5-2 lbs each) off the pads with a Superfluke. Continuing up the creek looking for trout and found the MOTHER LODE! Cast after cast with either a hit or a fish. All the brookies I could handle. Even caught a few yellow perch to mix it up. By 1:30 the WIND was making fishing difficult and called it a day. Fished the pads on the way back, quickly as the wind made the boat really move, and was rewarded with a final LMB (~ 1 lb).

All fish were released. Saw a couple of guys fishing from shore and also in a boat that had landed a few bullheads...the guys from shore were leaving and taking their catch home with a few decent sized fish

Lightbulb Re: Farrington on Fire

Did you read the code changes for 2014-15.

•Discontinue trout stocking at Farrington Lake (Middlesex Co.),

Sounds like a great and windy day for sure !

I have not seen this change. That would be unfortunate as this is a great fishery!
