Default schools open

hit the same spot as yesterday, again today, and where there were three, today there were six. not as big as yesterdays groupers but one was a solid 18". threw the tackle box at them, live chubb, nightcrawlers, spinnerbaits, crankbaits, soft plastics, many more. nothing swayed the brutes. caught one dink on a wacky senko that paled in comparison and wasn't even photo worthy. never like it when I can see the fish!

If you can see the fish, the fish can see you!

He is absolutely rite...You have a better chance if you somehow distance yourselfso that you cant even see them.....90% of my large smallies (4lb and larger) come when i have NO idea the fish are there...and 70% of those fish come on the jig and pig

Most of my large smallies have come on long casts to the opposite shore - in most cases in fairly shallow water - <2'. Fish I can see never take anything I throw at them. I tried closing my eyes but it didn't work and I fell in. lol

I spot the fish then hide behind bushes right after I cast. Waters toooooo low so you have to get the camo gear on and make yourself disappear>

yes, fish see me long before I see them and I would usually spot them then back away and cast but I was on the end of the concrete wall and there was no place to hide.

I stopped into that store on the corner because they had a sign out "LIVE BAIT" I asked what live bait they had and he said 'this' worm, 'that' worm, night crawlers, shiners then pointed to a refrigerator. I asked if the shiners were in the fridge and he said yes, they're salted. so I said I guess that makes em dead bait.
