![]() saw an add for these and was wondering if they were any good. seems like penn is making a comeback with better quality reels. was thinking of getting a tekota but have heard some negative stuff. i like level-winds; what can i say i'm lazy

![]() Have a few customers using them that I know of and they are verry happy with them. Im a Penn fan of years ago, prior to all of the mergers and sales of these companies. I agree, they are doing a good job of getting back to the old way of doing things.
From our experience with these reels, I would say you should be happy with it. Im sure you will get the pros and cons, but always keep one thing in mind....... most times people support a brand out of loyalty, not actual performance. I refuse to become an exclusive dealer for any 1 company, because I want to be able to sell the best product for that customer. Sometimes the brand changes, for certain purposes. Good luck with your decision. |

![]() I wanted to add another suggestion in that same price range......Daiwa. Daiwa is also doing one hell of a job these days. If looking at a levelwind in that price range, Penn and Daiwa would be my 2 choices.
