i have a few questions about Merrill Creek Reservoir. can i fish anywhere on shore at Merrill Creek Reservoir or is it limited access? also has anyone fished off the handicap access dock?if so what did you use and what type of fish can be caught from shore there? when is the best time to fish there? i was there today and didnt see any sign of fish or anything. |

![]() it's loaded with bass from the shore...both smallmouth and largemouth...bring a bucket of shiners and send em out there...u will hook into a ton of rock bass but will also catch plenty of lmb and smb...i know it's loaded with trout too but that's more for the deeper waters...

![]() IMHO, best fishing for bass from the shoreline is in May. If you have a boat, there are no bad times to fish, especially for trout. But the fish might be deep so shoreline fishing is off when it's cold.
And you can't fish along the northeast shoreline where it's marked off because of nesting eagles, although very few people actually obey that rule.
