![]() ...and it was a 7" sucker.
Who cares. Hit a wooly bugger. Trout were feeding all over the place. Finally figured out that after catching this guy that the flashes on the bottom were probably suckers and I called it a night. Still had fun horizontal casting up and down the river tonight. Gotta love these small and tight nj streams. ![]() |

![]() congrats, and realize you arent the first fooled sucker... er I mean, the first to be fooled by sucker flashes ![]() native suckers make spawning runs right around this time every year... that said if you can *find* some spawning suckers, perhaps try drifting some "sucker" spawn or other egg flies down below where you see them.
