Default spruce run

fished the run from 6pm to 3am no expecting to much due to high dirty water
started out ok with a few stripers here and there at about 12am went to a spot that i always do good at but found no bait in water fished there only to catch some big catfish, biggest crappie i have ever seen and to my suprise a fresh water eel about 3 feet long. moved to other side of lake to only catch catfish . never found any good readings of bait !! hopefully water clears and fish come back!!!!!!!

Thanks for the report. I like hearing about Spruce Run Hybrids. I've been out a half dozen times this year and only got 4 [all returned] so any info to help me do better would be greatly appreciated. Just joined the forum but have been hanging out for a couple months. Just started fishing again after a 15 year lay off.

Thanks again Phil

+100 for bringing back the fishing. Welcome and don't be afraid to post your reports. Chances are they'll help someone in some way or another!

DITTO...Fall is my usual time to head there and I was wondering how the lake was doing.

I guess it is at full pool?

Arrow Re: spruce run

We caught some in late November on Lake Hopatcong jigging for walleye during the day. The KDC website actually shows some being caught through the ice !
