I think I understand the mindset that capt Ron is having a bit of fun with...Watch some of the videos of the guys fishing out of the carolinas or Virginia down south, or even Mass or RI further north... Guys enjoying incredible fishing ,sometimes even massive blitzes without another boat in sight, or maybe one or two in the distance.. In the NY/NJ metroplex, as soon as the word gets out of a few fish being caught in a specific location, it is instantly mugged by hundreds and hundreds of boats of all sizes... The population density in the 5 boroughs of NY , the cities and suburbs of NJ, not to mention Philly and its suburbs is unlike any other salt water fishing area in the country except maybe southern california, which has practically shut fishing down in the modern age... I guess some guys just feel they are "protecting their livelihoods".. Tough situation,, Just so much pressure out there on the salt water fishery.. Lets face reality, NY and NJ now allow more fresh water fish to be taken than saltwater fish ... Fluke season, you can practically walk from Sandy Hook to Queens by stepping hull to hull in the the mosquito fleet..

I dunno, try any nice saturday in june/july/august, especially when word is spread on the internet about an area thats been producing well.. We're not REALLY going to get into the "there are less fishermen than ever before" thing are we?....
